Every couple of years, dentures might feel a little loose as the mouth changes and the bone resorbs. This would indicate the need of a rebase to refit the existing denture to your gums.

Denture relines involve replacing the inner lining of the denture while rebases refer to completely removing and re-making the base of the denture, but not the denture teeth. Both of these services can help you achieve a better fit that’s comfortable and secure.

As a general rule, it is recommended to reline/rebase your dentures every couple of years. Some signs it’s might be time for denture relining or rebasing include:

Your dentures feeling loose or constantly slipping out
Difficulty eating with your dentures
Gums that are sore and irritated from ill-fitting dentures
